All women of the county are invited to an Advent painting class Sunday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 8 pm at the first United Methodist Church in Jefferson.
The class will be led by Jolene Peters, who has selected an Advent picture for the class. Charge for the class is $40, with $10 of that going to the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center (ARC). Interested women should call Central Christian Church at 515-386-4315 to register for the class.
“Give your painting as a gift and bring joy to someone’s life, or share your painting in your home with those you love, all while bringing hope and peace to those who are hungry,” a spokesperson said.
